New Physical Data Model Graph
For your users to fully exploit their datasets, Zeenea now provides a better understanding of the physical representation and their different interactions to allow you to use them to their full potential. This new feature includes:
- The display of foreign keys
- The display of linked datasets
- A new graph to explore the database
- The ability to comment on links
Add your Custom Items to your technical Lineage
Often times, an asset’s lineage goes beyond the Items in the catalog. For example, an external source that can not be connected to Zeenea can be an input or an output of a documented data process. These kinds of Items can be materialized as a Custom Item in the catalog.
In response, Zeenea has now made it possible for your data users to add Custom Items to the technical lineage and visualize them along with your technical assets:
- Select the Custom Item Types that can be used as Inputs or Outputs of your Data Processes.
- Materialize Datasets or your other assets that can’t be harvested from connectors (i.e. Excel files, external sources, etc.).
- Display logical data flows that do not implicate physical assets.
Always stay focused on your initial search for all Items
In our last spotlight, we improved the navigation experience in Zeenea Explorer to directly visualize the Dataset’s Fields in the overview panel of the Dataset. Now, this Overview Panel is available for all your Items!
Always keep your initial Item’s context while exploring other Items to improve your productivity.
